Family Portraits at Mount Hood

Snow just makes everything magical in a picture. And in March you can still catch a lot of it left in the mountains. Normally we take trips to TImberline Lodge, but this time we didn’t even need to do that as there was already plenty at Government Camp, a beautiful alpine village. And a great place to stop by before skiing.

We went there originally by ourselves and had some husband and wife time. First we stopped by Zigzag Mountain Cafe, a beautiful spot for breakfast right before you get to snow level.

Then we drove up to snow level and onto Government Camp, stopping for many pics!

We liked it so much, we brought the kids two days later when Helena had the day-off!

There might still be snow at Timberline Lodge, but it’s gradually leaving with springtime. Go see it while you can. If you need information or help booking your trip to Mount Hood, check out my Fora Blog on Mount Hood.
